Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Mighty Car Mods.

Most of us being car enthusiasts on here would have watched at least one or two episodes of Mighty Car Mods.

    What i'm getting at is,

    What's YOUR opinion of them?

What do you think of there current and past projects?

Personally, i love the show. I enjoy their humor and mild education about how to do things, they also have given me ideas for my car. I dislike what they have done with the golf, they needed to put a bit more work into it.

The current 180 i'm not a fan of, It looks so ricerish.

Not the style i thought they were into.

Any who, what are all your opinions.

Ive seen them all and have posted on their forum for two years. I think the 180sx is for drifting only and wont be used on the street. Not sure though.

Great show that I only recently discovered.

Strikes a great balance between humour and education. Not many shows out there show a beginner that it is possible to have fun and learn something with a low budget. They also answer a lot of common questions and de-bunk a few myths with their videos. Very helpful.

I've followed mighty car mods since the start, and watched all the episodes and I honestly love them, always excited for the next upload yet I wasn't a fan of the golf really, had a lot of potention yet they went with the look they thought was big in the vw scene. I am liking the process of the 180sx but it is very traditionally Nissan like. All around great blokes though, love what they do.

they've consistently been more entertaining than the australian attempts at Top Gear.

I'm a little surprised they haven't been picked up by a larger media entity yet.

                    Mighty Car Mods.

Yeah. I heard they have been offered tv contracts but they didn't want to do it because its not their show anymore.

They would be selling rights to the thing they created. It's happens alot on YouTube.
