The Curse of the Candy White

About 3 months ago my mate bought his first car, a MkVI Golf GTI manual. He'd had it all planned out for some time, since the MkIV actually, but houses and jobs and life got in the way for a while.

So whilst my budget couldn't stretch to GTI proportions I had always wanted a Candy White and picked up a TSI77 Polo with sport and comforts. Lovely.

My girlfriend then joined the party somewhere between the two of us with with a Polo GTI...again in Candy White.

So far the toll stands at:

GTI: Reversed into at McDonalds = new rear bar. Hit in front left guard in street = new guard. Both in the first month.
TSI: Door to door style carpark dent in rear left door = angry Brendan. First week of the car.
Polo GTI: Rear bumber scratched in carpark = angry girlfriend, therefore = angry Brendan. 2 days after delivery.

So I'd be buying stocks in the VW paint division folks because Candy White is in demand!

I've offered when I get home tonight to swap rear bars with the girlfriends car if it annoys her too much.

I bought my MkV CW 3 door Golf GTI a couple of years ago, not long after buying it a pine cone landed on the roof point first, early last year it was touched parked by someone who took paint off the rear bumper above the no. plate, then late last year a guy who was on trial with us at work opened the passenger door onto a metal railing as he got out of my car after I gave him a lift to the train station on the way home from work (he didn't even realise he had done it, I got the pleasure of firing him a few days later ).

Week old Candy White R, stopped at petrol station. Had just returned from paying inside the station and about to leave when a huge *THUD* as the learner in a Camry beside us opens her door, has it caught by the wind and puts two massive dints into the door.
Fortunately Chris at Ace Paintless Dent Repairs did an amazing job removing the dents and now I can't even see where they were!
