Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Good photoshoot locations in Perth.

Does anybody know any good locations for photoshoots in Perth? Preferably somewhere with a brilliant view or in a nice forestry. Was thinking somewhere along near Jarrahdale however I'm not too sure.
    Does anyone know?
Only big hitch is the access roads need to be relatively low car friendly.

South Perth foreshore is always a winner!

there are several spots along there.

Or near the Uni on Stirling Hwy...near the yacht clubs?

Or other side near the Brewery...

Fremantle wharf near the new(ish) museum.

Near "The Blue Duck" along West Coast Hwy, or near Cottesloe "indianas" in the evening

    Or Floreat Beach

Or Whiteman Park near old trains.

Near the wineries around Caversham, such as Houghtons near the grape vines...

Or John Forest national Park near the old Train Tunnel entrance...

OK, I will stop now...I am a Perth boy, so you just bought back heaps of awesome memories.

This will depend what you want. The clear configurations are Kings Park, Cottesloe, Freo, beaches, bushland. The CBD has some fantastic places for an "urban" concept, or probably somewhere like London Court?

Ended up finding a brilliant alleyway off the Mandurah foreshore. Worked perfectly!

Short drive from Perth CBD, fantastic and diverse photo shoot location.
Situated on an island, easily accessible by car (over a bridge). Has free parking and shelter/picnic spots scattered about. During mid-week there's also hardly anyone around, meaning it's great for the more private outdoor shoots.
          Shoot types/scenes:
          - rolling grass hills
          - forest
          - Australian landscape
          - glamour/fashion
          - outdoor boudoir/nude/semi-nude
          - wildlife & fauna (seasonal and diverse)
          - city backdrop
          - dirt and paved trails
          - several bridges
          - dead trees/plants (swamp)
          - reids
          - sandbanks
          - cleared spaces
          - art
          - plus more
          - view from a distance of airport take-off/landings
          - marina (which is lit too) just off island in Ascot Quays

          Here on google maps:
