Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Volkswagen Driving Experience 2013 Dates

    Anyone heard if/when the Volkswagen Driving Experience is going to be on this year?

    I know they're taking expressions of interest on their website but nobody seems to be able to tell me anything.

    Have a (significantish) birthday coming up and was going to suggest it as a present for someone to buy if they were looking for ideas (drop a couple of not so blatant hints to the wife as she's ignoring the ones about the 19" rims).

    Anyway was just wondering if anyone had any news.

    VW Customer Care couldn't tell me anything other than to register on the website (which I've already done).

      Think the sign-up come online around March and then the events are later on depending on your location. August for Phillip Island in Melbourne.

      I'm interested in doing the Evolution (#3) course and hoping to bring some of a family along for the Progression course (not sure if they are the same day or not though).
      Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

        Sounds about right.. I recall an email around March or April last year. I'd definitely like to consider it, would be good to catch a few of the local VWW members.

          Did the course last year and had a ball. Learnt a lot of stuff, remembered things I'd been taught but maybe got a bit lazy with and got to blast around Eastern Creek in a Golf R.

          can't wait to do it again this year. Worth it for every level of driver/car.
