Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

soon to be a dealer mate

if you order through them now then you have 2 choices, insured air freight over a week or UPS, UPS normally 3 to 4 days and it's expensive (a shoe box item £35) so buy lots of items into your packages to make the postage worthwhile, I'll be shipping my bits over by boat which means it really is dirt cheap but takes over 30 days to arrive, it also means I can ship bigger bulkier items, (wings, bumpers doors etc).

I now have a reliable shipping agent I've used a few times so hopefully I'll have something up on the forum in the next month with a full list of retailers who want to start bringing things over

Have bought plenty from VW Heratige, postage prices seem fairly well in line with other stuff coming from the UK. VW Parts, Spares & Accessories | Spare Parts for Volkswagens sometimes you will wait for stock to come from VW classic parts.

You can buy direct from VW classic parts also if its genuine old stuff your after. Volkswagen Classic Parts

Werke 34 in Germany have a pretty good range of stuff, (brand new Mk1 GTI tank was 55 Euro by deutche post second class mail, which I thought was very good considering the size of the box.WERK34 | Volkswarenhaus Heussner Stauber | WERK 34 )

Duby, is this exclusive distribution your looking at ??
      Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

      Cheers,
