5 Year VW Driveline Warranty (includes DSG)
Yet in the USA, china, Russia etc they all get 10 year warranties. I'm just asking why is Australia getting a different treatment?sigpic

Me.Originally posted by Candyman View PostWho wants to own a VW for more than 10 yrs

Because the last model of T5 I bought came with 5 cylinder 2.5L engine and the new one is 2.0L 4 cylinder from Golf.
...and it doesn't get any better, our 2008 Touareg 3.0L TDI came with good ground clearance and much better off road 4x4 system than the current attempt.
So, yeah I will keep both for over 10 years.Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

5 Year VW Driveline Warranty (includes DSG)
Hi all have a r36 with the mechatronic playing up. (Car is out of warranty)Took back to dealer and it's confirmed by them. They have applied to volkswagon Australia as a goodwill warranty. Do you think it will be covered 100% Maybe 50/50? They said its all assed on a individual basis.... Really scared if not covered as the unit alone is around 4500 plus labour (900.00). Really considering my options if not covered. What do you think i should do if not covered? its also a known issue with dsg! Can any one please shed some more detailed info if this has ever happened to them with there outcomes. Thanks everyone

5 Year VW Driveline Warranty (includes DSG)
Replaced mechatronics unit on my GTI under goodwill (just out of warranty, dealer serviced from new)
Wasn't actually a failure, I wanted to get it done prior to sale
VW and dealer supported it (did have the reversing hesitation issue and abrupt downshift - nothing major)8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

Are there rather strict conditions on the extended warranty in China?
As far as I can see the extension in warranty is mainly time... not distance.
