Have you got a name for your car?

Hi all, just wondering if people here are like me and name their cars.

My Polo GTI is named Amelia... Here's why:

Car is blue = Bluey
Bluey is slang for a redhead
My favourite redhead? Amelia Pond from Dr Who.
Thus, the name is Amelia.

My previous cars had names too... My old Corolla was just named Beast because it was so not a beast it want funny. My VE Commodore sportwagon was called Ekaterina because she was a sexy red car, and Ekaterina seemed like a sexy Russian name.

Anyone else care to share their cars names?

Mk1 is called Schwalbe.
Reason is:
Schwalbe is German for swallow, and she's a swallowtail

Mk2 I have no idea, I've owned it for over 4 years and still haven't stuck with a name.
Just really call her valver or mk2

My sisters mk4 is called Schwartz, coz its black.

Yep, we sadly give ours names...

My wife's old GTVI (yes GTVI...sirion) was "Baby's4H"... cos the rego was BBY54H

One of my GTVIs was "cough drop" or "lozenge", as it was a light mettalic green colour that looked like a cough drop!

I sometimes call my Octavia "Squidy"....because...follow me:
Octavia sounds like Ocotpus
Octopus and Squids are similiar creatures...

And of course, My Tiguan was called Tigger...hence my user name when I first signed up on the forum!

And now my wife calls her Polo GTI "junior" , as it is the junior in the GTI range family!

I suspect he is trying to view it from work and his IT Dept has filters in place

Ad for my VR6 listed it as burgundy... which seemed a little pretentious so my cousins call it Ron (ref. Anchor man). But usually just go with a play on the brand or model. VR6 = versicks, vw, volksie, volksborgini etc vento= revento, vent..., Volvo = revola, vulva (sorry). Audi = audio, the Audi-yo. Merc = the old girl, Mercules (my favourite). Ute = uterus, Escape = any variation on escape, such as the escape goat, the great escape. Peugeot = Jean Pierre (said with grumpy French accent)
