How do you know it wasn't the bird that was speeding?

I've driven on the Calder Fwy from Bendigo near the Harcourt turn off where there was a camera car parked trying to catch motorists. Unfortunately it was an extremely windy day and the sensor was being triggered by the tree leaves being blown around with the flash going off like it was in a disco!
This is why before a mobile speed camera car can be parked anywhere, or a hand-held or car mounted mobile unit can be used, a site survey has to be carried out to ensure that there are no false triggers.
There was a classic one where one particular spot was raking the fines in. This was until one motorist realised that the radar gun was pointing down the line of the local aerodrome runway, and the speed being recorded was the take=off speed of light aircraft.
