  • Wiper blades

Not sure if i've been had, or if VW wiper blades are particularly 'special', but just had a service yesterday & checked my invoice this morning. Everything else seemed about right, but $90 for the front wiper blades??? Even $24.50 for the rear seems steep...

    Normal price.

You have to replace the whole thing, not just the rubber insert on the Tiguan. They're $45 per side.

The rear is the same deal.

You do get what you pay for, in my opinion. I've tried the non-genuine offerings out there, and most of them are just rubbish, or require some form of modification to fit.

      Thanks for that, mate!
If that's the going price, then i won't dispute it. But i thought i may be paying for a typo...

yeah I've seen them for more then that from a dealer/vw part. standard sort of price
While Umai Naa!! is probably right in you get what you pay for, I have been running cheapo ebay ones on my GFs car (both cars actually), mums car, and my car for a while now and everyone is happy with them. Dad has the genuine VW items on the passat and agrees there is next to no difference between the $20 posted ebay ones and the $90 vw ones.
