just thought i'd throw one up as im going..

im such a lucky b******, i got to go today (wednesday) and help my old mans mates set up their bikes...
and got to push around old le mans, F1's, race cars around the paddocks

is anyone else going????

and if your not.. go to next years..... coz from what i've seen so far it is epic!!!

i purposely wont post up pics until later on.. don't want to spoil anything

I went a couple of years ago...bloody awesome!

Every type of car and bike from every era imaginable. Le Mans, F1, Indy, Touring Cars, Rally, you name it, it's there and you can get close enough to drool on them.

The best part was wandering around the pits watching (and listening!!!) to the cars warm up and meeting people like stirling moss and mick doohan

I went a couple of years ago...bloody awesome!

i have to say its been better than ANY other event i've ever been to!!!
the fact that you can actually walk around the cars and look inside around the pits is unbelievable!!
and there are only hay bails between you and the cars/bikes.
they've always got something going on, red arrows doing acrobatics, eurofighters flying over, rally stage, hillclimb, motocross and so much more!!!! going to a F1 GP from now on would just be a disappointment.

very disappointed that VW isn't here to show anything off, but Audi have a Quattro Sport S1 Pikes Peak car and the Quattro rally car!!!

having real trouble with internet reception, so pics will have to wait.

okay so its all over
i wish it went on for another week!!!!
easily the best event if not the best weekend ive ever been to/had. definitely a must for a car fan.
in the space of a few days, ive seen most of the cars i dreamed about when i was 8...
cars like the Pikes Peak Toyota Tacoma (even got to chat to Rod Millen), Ari Vatenen's Pikes Peak 405 T16, Ford GT40, Ferrari 250 GTO and F40, Audi Quattro's, Mclaren MP4/5, the monte carlo Mini's and the list goes on!!!

anyway a few pics.... if you want more up of specific cars/bikes, just ask. i took nearly 1500 photos

it was absolutely nuts!!! about 20 old and new F1's, and about 70 bikes all in the same spot.

my favourite rally car of all time, and he crashed it into a hay bail.. if anyone finds the footage post it up

and the champ.. a GT3 car beat the F1's and GT1 cars
