  • VW Dealer of the year judging criteria

On what basis do they judge VW dealer of the year? I assume it's total sales.

I would think it would relate to more than just sales volume.
Customer feedback, complaints etc would have to be included.

Yeah I think customer satisfaction has a large bearing here.

Most VW dealers are stuck up a-holes who think they are selling Lambos but , as they are located in the inner city, they get a lot of corporate business and hence sales.

I told my local dealer (2 mins from Work) in Brisbane (Austral) where to stick it when I bought a GTI!

kaanage; bitch loudly to VW Australia. They do listen. If Barloworld win dealer of the year given everything I continually hear about their dealerships, I'll cry.

Criteria looks at the whole dealership not just sales.
Service and warranty work, parts, finance, accounts reporting and customer survey scores and returns.
Alot of the time the dealer who wins does not alway sell the most.
All of the areas are weighted so the dealers who want to win these things focus on the areas that are weighted the most.

The dealer I bought my Golf from was "just OK" before I handed them $55K+ but then morphed into "a@@holes" after they got the money. I am returning the car soon for a very minor warranty issue so I will name them if they fail again. Till then, I will play fair and give them another chance before nominating them for "Dealer to Avoid"

                  haha so true.

I've only been to three - Denlo Parramatta, Chatswood Classic Cars and Barloworld Five Dock. Based on that criteria Denlo from Parramatta are the "least bad", followed by Five Dock and then at the bottom of the list you'd get Chatswood Classic Cars.

None of them were good, which is why I'm still not driving a VW.
