We copped it pretty full on at Eltham with hail up to about 3cm in diameter and busted skylights etc.
The golf was out in the thick of it but seems to have got off pretty lightly. A few minor dings in the roof, but looking like nothing too major. Should it turn out to be more serious in the light of day, ho hum...It's why we buy insurance. The most important thing is that nobody was injured. Cars are relatively easy to repair.

Hope everyone had a good day.
I was parked around at St. Helena Marketplace, so only around the corner from you!
I was driving on the Western Ring Rd to Sunshine when I got caught in a mini hail storm. Hailstones were only around 1 cm wide. Couldn't see any damage when I got to my destination. But then 15 minutes later, hailstones the size of golfballs started pelting my 2010 Jetta, and the result was similar to Gambit's Polo. I couldn't get hold of the insurance company (RACV), I was on hold for 2 hours until their system just gave up on me. I hope I get a write off though.
nice parking job!!
right near where I was actually. showed the people I was staying with and they knew exactly where you were.
Dads CC and my bora were caught driving in the hail. managed to come out with no marks from what I can see so far, will have to give it a wash I think.
This is a pic from the street I was staying in after the second lot of hail and heavy rain. pic was taken after the rain had stopped and the river flowing passed out cars (behind the camera) had gone.
Water mark on the Lambo was a fair bit higher then where it is in this pic. few hail dints on it too...

The damage didn't look too bad after the storm, but sadly not to be. We have about 100 hits to the roof, roof rails, bonnet, rear spoiler thingy and the tops of both front guards.
Now starts the wait to have it assessed. Will be interesting to see what RACV thinks as it's 3 weeks past 1st birthday. I'm kinda glad we were in the Golf and not the R36.
