Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'm a spirited driver. But, for a start, it is rarely ever in a built up area.
oh yeah - built up areas, areas near park access, areas with driveways, straights etc - they're no-go.

there's a very good reason why a solid brap requires 200km's of driving out to woop woop, and the better part of a day's daylight.

im a bit intrigued by how the impact obliterated the car above, yet the whole left hand side of the car is quite well intact

it would appear that we grow very sharp trees in Perth.

Its pleasing to see that the tree wasnt damaged too much

A pile of metal pushed up against a tree is "quite intact"? I don't agree. Also those trees are massive, drive past them most days. They are solid.

Apparently one fell very I'll, the other ordered an ambulance, which went to the wrong address. The driver decided to try to get the passenger to hospital. Mother responded to hook claims today, to reject they were being hooks etc. I know the family. Great people, not loonies, tragedy. Another tragic error of judgement

Man, this is tragic if the situation is as reported.

Very sad to hear. I highly doubt drugs or alcohol were involved in this situation. Poor guys and my thoughts are definitely with the families at this time.
