Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries on earth, with so much natural beauty, and Cape Town is my favorite city in the world.

Of course there are literally millions of all VWs on the roads too...

Im european but lived in S.A since i was 4 till about 13. I grew up in JHB, and was a really nice country!! But ill be the first to say it; with first hand experience, there is a lot of crime. 'A lot' is an understatement lol.

Regardless, its a lovely place to live ! Weather is amazing too

I had 2 Jettas in SA,a Jetta in the US,and a Jetta in OZ,until it was written off last year.......all bought brand new.

Yes,there is crime in SA,but if there was none,it would be utopia, and none of us would have left.
