Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

yeah, some widened steelies would be my choice for a daily setup - i dont know what it is, i just think they look good.

i still toy with the idea of getting 15 inch steelies - i know they're not the lightest, but even without tyre stretch i reckon they look alright, in black or silver.

Haven't gotten my JETTA yet but I love Interlagos wheels and will be purchasing replicas soon for when I get my vehicle. Love the turbine effect...

Enkei rpf1 is another wheel I like. Do you think they would look good on a JETTA over the enkei fujin wheels?

I can't seem to make up my mind

The Fujin looks nicer in some ways but is more conventional - the RPF1's will stand out more and are lighter as well (a nice article on the effect of extra wheel weight from Tire Rack)

Too bad the RPF1's aren't made in 5/100 in the 15x7 size

I agree that fujins are less "rock the boat" type wheels vs rpf01 wheels. I'm concerned about which will go with the car more though.
It's been difficult to find quality mk6 JETTA pics with either of these wheels.

Both are lighter than stock wheels. Ideally I'd go with the rpf01 for being 15.6 pounds vs the fujin's 17.5. I'm just worried it will make the JETTA look non euro if you know what I mean.

                            Thanks for the link.

^^^ in tempest blue. It's hard to choose which wheel would do it justice.
