Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Attention WA Memebers: A Favour Please!

    Hi WA guys (and girls)!

    I have a favour to ask.

    I'm looking at buying a car from WA, but I need someone to go an check it out, drive it up and down the street and grab some photo's.

    Car is located in Rockingham. The owner is reasonably flexible on viewing times, weekends probably the best oppourtunity.

    You will be reimbersed (beer/fuel money) and have my eternal gratitude.

    love to assist Jarred, but I'm not overly mechanical, and would give you a bum steer - i suspect you need someone mechanically minded for this activity

              It's for a mk 2.

              No mechanical expertise is needed.

              Basically, I just need to confirm what the seller has told me.

              My main concerns are rust and body damage. I can assist in where to look etc.

              Gareth are you free sometime this weekend?

                let me chat to the mrs and get back to you tomorrow.

                I suspect we could throw the bikes in the boot of the car and go for a drive to Rockingham, and have a ride along the beach while we are there!

                    Ha, what are you? A man or a mouse, I cycled from Como to Rockingham on Ride To Work Day. It was 84km all round trip. Mind you I was knackered when I got home! I couldn't climb the stairs to get changed out of my cycling gear.

                      actually its not me so much but the mrs, she has only started riding bikes in the last 2 weeks
