Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    There's a drive-away sale happening on Golfs at the moment.

    The Golf Driveaway Sale

    Does that mean there's really no room to negotiate the prices further since it's already discounted for almost 4k.

    It means that almost $4k of your "regular negotiating" is already done for you.
    So on base spec Golf's that is maybe better than you'd have already done in the first place. With heavily optioned Golf GTI's - well, there is still more to be had.

    Having said that... since they always seem to be so busy and have such high demand during these sales, it's usually a crappy time to try and negotiate anyway. There isn't the time, and the salesman has all the cards...
