We are looking for a switcharound with our cars and mine is due anytime a deal works out for us. We have decided to go with the mid spec Santa Fe and found a floor stock model with 500kms and for a good price. Drove across Melb to Essendon today to find the same car, sitting in the same spot on the floor, but that apparently wasn't it. The salesguy told me about 3 different versions about where the car was, ending finally with him suddenly remembering it was sold last weekend and picked up on Tuesday....cause he forgot he sold it.

I don't know about you, but I would think I would remember selling one of their most expensive cars from 3 days ago. It's also funny how the car that was on the floor looked the same, including the higher end models wheels which aren't normally on the car, but were also on this one....they only have the stock no on there, pity there isn't the VIN as I could have crosschecked and caught them out. Enough to say I won't be buying one from there.

The stock number is still unique to the vehicle. Betcha there is a sticker on the windscreen with the stock number dymo labelled there.

I was looking for the stock number but couldn't see it on the car anywhere...it had no rego plates, but neither did the advertised car.

I actually know someone at Carsales, and yes I get your idea, if they truly left that ad up by mistake then maybe they get whet they deserve from people making a lot of enquiries for a car they don't have.

A WA dealer is currently advertising a standard (no options) 77TSI Polo. Pictures depict a Polo with Sports Pack included (17"Boa Vista wheels, active turning/fog lights etc etc). But the price is for the standard Polo. So...deceitful? Or just poor management by Carsales.com.au??

The pics are correct, the thing I kicked myself over was not taking a pic of it as it had the higher spec wheels on it, so could confirm it just by cross checking that. I only remembered that after the fact.

I sent them an email replying to their autoreply for the ad, telling them exactly what I had experienced and that it was a sign of very poor dealership. To date I've had no reply, again if it was all legit I would have had someone contact and explain it. The silence only confirms they very well know they were playing games.

Car is still being advertised and I got an automated email from Carsales asking if I had been contacted by the dealer about it yet (from my initial enquiry). I said no and it said you should have and had contacted them as well.

WTF goes on at that dealer...?
