The worst car I've driven is my dads 2008/09 or something Holden rodeo. 2WD drives like a boat. Actually makes me sick while driving or passenger-ing.

A close second was my first car, 1989 diahatsu charade. 3 cylinders of fury. It wasn't even the 16v model so it was gutless. Was slower then a school bus. So I did what any 16 year old kid would do, threw a cheap head deck and some 16x9s in the parcel shelf and pumped tunes all day haha.

It's funny you say that, cos I have always wanted a Charade GTtI 1L 3cyl turbo...

Haha, back in Tassie in my teens in the '90's a mate had a totally biffed up Datto 1600 that fell into that category. It was lowered by a coil cut i think and painted black with a brush in matte.

It was really a death trap. We got it up 120kmh once and it just about shook itself apart! But we utterly PUNISHED that thing every weekend for 6 months. It also had water in the oil & vice versa, would rattle and skate across the road on bumpy corners and by the time we finished rallying on the gravel at 3am we'd get home and it would be totally f'ed and barely running on one cylinder.

Then we'd get up the next day, turn the key and BAM, off she'd go ready for more!!

He swapped for a carton of boags draught and the new owner rolled it down a bank that night!

It had to be the 1973 Mazda 929 wagon.
              It had two good points
1/ I could ( - had to) sleep in the back.
2/ Stereo was loud - very loud.
              Otherwise ...........
I have owned a Landrover series 3 and a 1980 Corona wagon, but they were better.

I have never owned and never will a - CAMRY.
Which would have to be on the top of the list if only someone would own up to having owned one.

Not worst car I have owned but worst car I have ever driven, hands down bar none is a Holden Epica. And that is a huge condemnation coming from someone who has driven a Prius.

The Epica is just a dynamic mess, it's one of those annoying cars that seems to have on on/off switch instead of an accelerator but it can't do any damage because of the massive dead spot in middle of the power range. The handling is just truly appalling it seems to pre-emptively start lurching before you even get to a corner. The instruments are successfully obstructed by the steering wheel no matter how you adjust it which must have taken some malicious designer weeks to figure out how to achieve. The seats are like 1970s Mercedes seats where you sit on top of what feels like a convex surface, which helps to ensure you aren't concentrating too much on the handling because at every corner you are just fighting to stay in the seat.

The Prius comes second as worst car I have ever driven, and gains extra "what the hell were they thinking" points for not having audio or cruise control buttons on the steering wheel but instead having the air conditioning controls there, but even with that and the freaky driving experience that the Prius provides the Epica still comes out streets ahead in the Worst car I have ever driven stakes.

My experiences with both the Epica and Prius were provided by my constant driving of rental cars as I travel a lot in my job, I don't actually know anyone who would buy either car

Sure the thought of a crappy car with a hot engine is great, but the car is still slow, unless someone puts a k03 or t5 on.... Then lol!
A mate of mine knows someone who has a 4wd turbo STARLET!! packing 170hp (probably more now).. Ultimate sleeper

                        Hahaha!!!

I know what your saying, the work ute I drive is the older model Rodeo. It rolls and pitches so much it's scary. Worst thing is the steering, about 30 turns lock to lock (lost count) and you need about half a turn of lock for small corrections. Saying that, it keeps on going.

Worst car ive owned would have to be my first car.

A 1986 Ford Laser. Auto transmission that would stall if you turned right too hard. Broken into countless times that when I sold it I had about 5 seperate keys from changing broken locks all the time haha. Although I hated it it was a good car to have as a first car. These days kids have it too easy with power steering, air conditioning and tires that grip!

Ok, ok.......yes it was like trying to steer a large boat....and yes the auto gearbox did kick-down when it wanted and not when I pushed the accelerator.

Yeah ok, it had no soul and was boringly reliable
