Depending on what is left in stores because the sale is huge, but checkout Aldi. You can get pants and a jacket for $100 and people I know that have bought them, have not had one ounce of a hassle with them. They are quite good unless you are going into blizzard conditions, then I would do my homework. My friends said that the aldi stuff worked just as good as my colorado gear so I assume that it is ok. Check them out although, like I said, their sale does suck alot of supply but there is alot of people that return due to wrong sizes etc.

Funny you say about Aldi ski gear, my mate has some pants from there and he rode them for a week in NZ, cost him like $70 and then he sold them to a bloke ta uni for $50. They may not be cool, they may not have a trendy brand lable on them but it sure beats getting a wet bum.

Thought I'd fill you guys in on what I ended up ordering.

          backcountry.com
          - North Face waterproof pants (paid AUD$60 odd)
          - North Face 3-in-1 jacket ($499~ here, just seen it for AUD$250 on sale - paid AUD$130!!)
          - Merrell hiking shoes ($220~ here - paid AUD$110)
          - Girl's snow board pants for g/f (paid AUD$70 odd)

          crocs.com
          - snow boots for g/f (sold out here until next Winter and local Crocs store wouldn't order more in)

          TOTAL came to about AUD$370-400.

Had everything sent to hopshopgo.com who consolidated our items and shipped them for AUD$150. Everything arrived about a week later and it all fits like a glove so we're bloody stoked! Now I just have to count down one more week before we're in NZ woohoo!

So thanks for everyone's suggestions especially gareth_au and Buller Scott
