watercooled VW show at WSID

I've been talking to some people and we decided we need a sydney watercooled show similar to waterfest in USA.

How many people would be willing to help promote/sponser the event and how many of you would enter?

Thinking along the lines of show'n'shine, 1/4 drag, dyno, exibition (unjudged show cars)
can anyone think of any other things we could do?

Dom will help out if there is enough interest from tuners/wshops/people

I might suggest you approach WSID to ask how much they want to charge for an event like this so you can gauge how much entry will cost and what sponsorship will be required. Then you will have a better idea when your speaking to the tuners/wshops/people about the event. Or you might find it is simply unrealistic if costs are too much.

Its $8k to hire wsid, so we just need to see about numbers for sponserhip, promoters and punters to gauge prices etc

that's a very big venue for a very smallcommunity!

Providing I didn't have anything major going on, I'd defiantly make the trek up to SYD, would even have a go on the strip if it wasn't too cost prohibitive etc.

you'll have to do alot more than rely on people spreading the word. Sure people will do it, but there has to be so much more done behind the scenes!

Most people have no idea how difficult it is to make a show like SEDF happen, and how much work prior to the event is put in.

There are a few irons in the fire re a Sydney water-cooled show already. Very early stages but the ball is definitely rolling.
