Yep. It was the day that the father bought the car. Killed all 4 (teenagers) in the car. Apparently seatbelts were not in use either - though that wouldn't have helped too much in that accident.

The link is interesting - it says that there were 5 in the car and only one died at the scene while the other 3 died in hospital, shortly after, and one was in a serious condition. It makes you think that maybe more would have survived if they had the brains to wear seatbelts.

I'd be upset if the idiots killed someone else. Thankfully they just wiped themselves out of the gene pool.

Why? I'm for it to make ii public (they should put that car on display at the local high school) and that they show the life crashes to young people in school and at every opportunity the authorities have. They should also shoe the impact of these crashes on the families straight after the accidents and if someone survived, they should show how good is the life in the wheelchair.

I just wouldn't joke about it, that doesn't help with the preventing these kind of accidents.

No, when their peers see it as something that people joke about or maybe let see if it would fix the rattle in the engine or how much would be left of the car? It just remove the seriousness from it and make it acceptable.
I don't cry about when people die in accidents, if they were idiots it's good they wiped out themselves from the gene pool, just feel sorry for relatives, that's all.

I'm with you Transporter, I think sensitivity is called for and compassion towards the relatives at a difficult time for them. I think if any one of us was first on the scene of that accident, humour would be the last thing we'd be thinking of.

I don't know the relatives, all I know they were just four young people who made a mistake and who didn't want to die. I don't believe for one second, that there is one driver in this forum who wouldn't be speeding at least once in his/hers life.
...and no, I wouldn't close this thread or tell you that you can't express what you feel when seeing the pictures like these.

I don't know the relatives, Steve, and I certainly don't think Transporter would want to deny you your right to free speech, and nor would I. It's not an issue of free speech, it's about compassion for the ones who have to deal with the tragedy, it's not a personal attack on you.
