Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Where to get calipers Rebuilt?

    Hi guys.

I've picked myself up a set of second hand calipers, and whilst they seem to be in good nick, I'd like to get them rebuilt, so they function 100% and look 100% too.

Doesn't anyone know who/where/what kind of shops would specialise in this sort of stuff?

Never ever looked into this before, so any points/a shove in the right direction, or recommendations would be much appreciated!

    Cheers
    Jarred

p.s. I've thought about doing it myself, but figure it's probably not the best thing to bugger up!

Better brakes in Bayswater can do them and they've always been good to me. I'm a regular there for braided lines and machining.

      Cheers Pete

Might be after some braided lines too.

They can make them to any size with any fittings.

If your standard ones have any wacky VW rubber mounting bits along the hose, take them along too so they can get them off and put onto the braided hoses before they crimp them.
