Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • S2TPP paddles problem.

    Off topic.

    Fitted these paddle awhile ago.

They work great very responsive, love it.

Only down side is now I got a slight creaking sound as I turn the wheel.
Even when car is in standstill.

Not too sure what is causing the problem.
Took it to Barloworld today to get it checked up and fixed.
They refused saying because someone opened the steering wheel & attached paddles thats why problem arised.

Is there any solution to this creaking problem?

shoot micheal bello the boss of s2tpp an email he should be able to help you out he might even replace them. thats the problem with going to vw dealers with aftermarket parts they don't acknowledge them and don't want to touch or fix them.

        Cheers will do.

I think something is wrong with my steering wheel itself.

        Hopefully I get a fix.

          Update;

          Just got call from Barloworld.

They have now found out problem, apparently there was a faulty hub ring.
Which is now going to be replaced.
