Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspections

Does anyone have any good advice as far as comprehensive pre-purchase vehicle inspections?

Google search didn't show any companies that i liked tbh, and none that seemed genuinely comprehensive. I had a WRX i owned checked by a guy that spent damn near 5 hours and checked everything. EVERYTHING

I'd be after things like digital paint thickness readings, panel alignment, crash inspection, coolant system checks, mechanical reports, etc etc in addition to the obvious REVS and RTA checks.

Its for my BIL, he is inspecting a few E46 M3 SMGs (I know I know, he can't drive a manual....)

I DON'T recommend IVI. The guy rocked up in a Caddy with bald tyres! Then chatted to his mates on the phone whilst inspecting the car.
