Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    How tight is the interior in yours? A friend had one years ago that he bought new and it developed squeaks and rattles very quickly.

    Great to drive, though - I don't think anyone would dare to build a family hatchback that handled like a 205 (any variant) anymore

      Yeah everything rattles or squeeks lol

      Thats just 205 gti's though i had one when it was 18 months old (1994 model) and had only 10k's on the clock and that too rattled etc!!

      This is my 12th 205 gti in the last 17 years, although now i am in oz and these are like rocking horse poo to get hold of, i wont be selling it in a hurry!!!

                Did it go to another Aussiefrogger?

                I had an S2 205 GTi.....red also....used to call it Elmo due to it being 'sooo' red!
