Costs re-registering cars interstate? Interstate RWC?

If I were to buy a car in NSW and I live in VIC, does anyone know how much it would cost to change rego over to VIC, if there are any costs at all? And also, would a RWC from NSW be valid in VIC to change ownership of the car?

i was told you cant transfer interstate registration, you will need to register the car in victoria as a new registration with a victorian RWC. you can apply for a refund of remaining rego with which the car is registered in
