Just thought i'd make a comment on an incident that happened recently that i thought i should voice, but im happy to be told if it is unwarranted.
Its regarding a car dealership a mate and I visited as i was helping check a few cars out as you do just for interest sake.
When enquiring about a particular car at this particular dealership my mate was continually harassed about taking out finance, checking finance and all the other non sense, which is far enough, they're trying to make business.
BUT what really ticked me off is when my friend replied by saying he was still looking at other cars as options, and didn't want his finance checked, the dealer proceeded to insult him about how we had been wasting his time and that everybody needs their finance checked.
When my mate replied saying that he would prefer to pay cash, he then got even more fed up and said no one your age can afford to buy a new/near new demo car upfront and followed up by saying that if you use the internet to buy cars that you should stay off carsales.com.au because it costs them (the dealer) money to waste time with stupid enquiries like us.
ALSO When we turned up for the test drive that day, the car was covered in grass and my mate was not told about the several scratches and nicks the car had received. The man who took us on the test drive couldn't care less and then tried to convince my mate that a car with 15,000 kilometres and an 2008 model was still considered new?
I dont think ill mention the name in case of defamation but i was just outraged at the service provided and the amount of scare tactics used to push a sale.
The dealer even rang to try and pressure the sale again, but by that stage my mate told them to stick it.
just thought i'd get that off my chest.
