Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    All is fine here (Carina).
Even the local drain/creek that normally floods in weak rain didn't cover the road.

All good out at Chapel Hill.....so far. I work in at South Brisbane and we left work just before lunch. As bad as it sounds, it will be very very interesting to see what happens with the flooding. Hope everyone is ok. Good luck to you all that are affected.

          My R32 is good!

I'm good too, but the above is more important. Im in Corinda, quite close to the river, but fortunate to be on a hill!

          Stay safe!

                    Hey all,

Woolloongabba here, doing fine so far. My girlfriend works for Energex and I've had to take her to work to help out.

I've parked way up high in the city and I'm posting from work.

I got a message from my mate saying our mk2 GTI had been flooded up to its windows over out west! Quickly followed by another message saying he was kidding!

I'm fine at work in Toowong, probably going to go home though because none of my clients are at work.

Whats it like in Wynum West? My uncel is there and I havnt been able to contact him.

Being Southside I think he should be ok but I know his shack backs onto a creek.

Wynnum Wet should be fine, it is close enough to the bay that it almost never floods.
Also being on the southside it is likely to be better off.

All good here Jase, cheers for your thoughts. I start back on Monday but many customers will be affected. Im keen to get out and volunteer if i can, Brizzy has been good to me and its time to return the favour. Its gonna take a long time to get back on its feet in many ways. Hearing all the choppers overhead sounds like nothing short of a warzone. Horrible
                              cheers
