Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Car of the Noughties???

Hi all, noticed drive.com.au had an article on what their supposed car experts thought were the best and worst cars of the 2000's, just wondering what you guys think.

A few of the best I believe include:

*MkV Golf GTI - Basically did what the Impreza WRX did in the 90's, but taken it up a notch, particularly with the DSG gearbox bringing effortless performance to the masses.

*Aston Martin DB9 - It's what happens when you combine sex and car design, although it doesn't drive exactly like sex on wheels...

*Porsche 911 997 - Performance with the fuel economy of a Camry.

*Bugatti Veyron - The last word (for now) in Automotive Engineering.

    The worts of the 2000's
*Basically anything made by SsangYong and Great Wall...

*BMW X6 - most pointless car ever created, What the hell were they thinking?!?
    2010 B6 Passat 125TDI Black, leather, RNS510, boringly comfortable

You mean this as the worst, right? Agreed.
