Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Have to say for the size and weight of the thing it's bloody impressive.

One of my surgeon customers has one, and I have to admit it looks odd amongst the Porsches, Ferraris and Mazzers in the Private hospital carpark.

Back when I cared more about supercars (when I was 12) I was in love with the McLaren F1, which as most of us know had a 0-100 of about 3.2s (the LM model?)

Nowdays, I'm more impressed at the moment with cars like the Golf Bluemotion, but as an engineer, it sure is impressive to me that Nissan can provide a car to sell to the general public* that does all the things a car should be able to do, and still be so fast. I guess I'm in the camp with those that would argue it might be more livable than a supercar, but geeze, 99% of us are just dreaming anyway right? I think any argument about how you could pay for it or live with it is invalid unless you actually could go buy one... so yeah

I'd still like to think the McLaren would beat the GTR to 350 though
