i know! i was in perisher for the same week, i think- 22nd aug -> 27th aug, right?

the powder wasnt the lightest in the world, sure, but the fact that i can now officially say ''yes, believe it or not, i have skied powder in australia'' is something i thought i'd never say

unfortunately, perisher had some pretty high winds [my ****ing face was being blasted off without a neckwarmer], and it meant that for most of the time, the parks were closed, so unfortunately no park footage, but still- i had a ball, and the snow was awesome. if only it would be like that in australia for all season, every season- we'd definitely be ''on the map''.....

we lucked out, mate. that was one epic week! are your other sons jealous they didnt go with you this time? lol......

IMO, thrashing cars in the snow would be crazier than hitting a 50 footer anyday.....

yep scott, 22-29th - the wind was a bit strong on a few of those days and visibility was as low as 3 metres sometimes, but it was the best Ive ever expereinced so no complaints.

On the Saturday, my son and I strapped our boards to our backs, donned snowshoes and walked virtually all the way from thredbo to Charlotttes Pass and back - 17km round trip
