The Commodore was based off of an Opel, That is what all those are. The VN was also based off one, pretty sure it was the Omega.

Well that's what I meant. Through to VL they were all German designed I believe.

Commodores were based on Opels from VB until VZ. Wasn't until VE the Commodore actually became Australian.
