Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    • its on air ride everyone! dont pannic! it drives at normal height!!! everything will be ok!!

i think its cool because i like the look of it, and i admire the work and money that goes into getting a stance like that, its not just about banging wheels with big lips on... offsets, widths, lips, tyres play a big part to get it to look like that... ohh and air ride,

thats my buzz so i think its cool

              • insane tyre stretch/ drop has been a part of dub culture for years and years.....

what's with people pretending that it's news to be shocked at?

it's personal taste, thats all. it's like people ripping on sushi because they just dont understand it, even though they're aware that other people have been having it for years, and that it's a purely SUBJECTIVE matter.

p.s. that gti is gorgeous- maybe some wider wheels with a bit more tyre stretch on the back, heaven forbid?!

                        • oh man that's cool but i'd be really interested to see what it'd look like with a bit of tuck up front....

took my spacers off the front wheels [8mm] with 11mm spacers on each side on the back, and was pleasantly surprised by how it looked slightly better than with spacers on both front AND back.

Reminds me of this one, where Mansell won the race, Senna had broken down, and Mansell gave him a lift back to the pits afterwards

This is before my time, but that's an awesome show of sportsmanship, especially for something like F1
