Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    • I saw that deltawing go off, it looked lik ehte audi nudged it but they are claiming the deltawing should have given way.

The Toyota/Ferrari crash was more spectacular.

Some of the prototypes were taking BIG risks overtaking the other classes, even the leading Audis towards the end

I think you will find it was Nakajima in the Toyota Hybrid that knocked the Deltawing off the track.

          • Here is the big toyota crash for anyone who hasn't seen it. Apparantly the driver 'only' has 2 broken vertabrae. Not bad for a big crash like that imo.

            • When I started competitive mountain biking Andre ****ey was a guy I looked up to, he was popular, cool and could ride a bike in any condition. A few years later he was one of my regular riding mates. Uni, girls, work etc took over and he just rode now and again. Well today while looking at a few bike blogs it seems he is riding again:

Just a nobody from Ivanhoe who is one hell of a rider.

Humanity escapes the solar system: Voyager 1 signals that it has reached the edge of interstellar space - 18billion km away

..With absolutely no attempt at hyperbole at all, it is fair to say that this is one of - if not the - biggest achievement of the human race.

For, as we speak, an object conceived in the human mind, and built by our tools, and launched from our planet, is sailing out of the further depths of our solar system - and will be the first object made by man to sail out into interstellar space.

The Voyager 1, built by Nasa and launched in 1977 has spent the last 35 years steadily increasing its distance from Earth, and is now now 17,970,000,000km away, travelling at 10km a second.

Indications over the last week implies that Voyager 1 is now leaving the heliosphere - the last vestige of this solar system.

WHOA! He did a good recovery after though. Well trained not to try and swerve around it. Can you imagine if that was an F1 car :/
