  • Transfer of Vehicle registration/ownership in South Australia

    Hello all,

Im heading to SA this weekend to collect my latest purchase. I plan to drive it home to Victoria. It has SA registration till Jan. Can I transfer the ownership and SA registration into my name then then drive home then in January re-register it in vic? Will I need a roadworthy in SA or VIC for this plan?

    Cheers!

for the transfer into vic rego you will need a victorian rwc.. i imagine the same to transfer into your name in s.a. as well. you can get a refund for the remaining rego but dont get back the stamp duty and transfer fees i believe..
