Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I emailed him back saying that I would check if there was other intrest out there and if not I would only like to display my car not show it. that way they dont have to buy prizes for one car.
I think this is outside the golfs, mk1 thru, as they have classes for standard and modified.
So any intrest for modified others post up.

there was this problem last time, see i dont count mine as modified as its basically wheels, suspension, cd player (although there is a lot of less obvious stuff going on).
but count me on your list as modified if you want, to get a class open, as it is unfair on yourself and a lot of other cars.
im a 2001 for your reference

pretty sure we will be going but not sure what car we would take. If we take the convertible it is prob considered modified... wheels, suspension, exhaust, lights etc... its a 2003.
can you enter on the day or are they only doing registration before the event to try and speed up entry?1974 1300 Beetle, 1997 Golf GL, 2003 New Beetle Cabrio, 2014 Audi A4 quattro

The whole modified thing is a joke.
Last year I entered a MK1 as modified because it has a later model engine. I was being judged against a 5 day old MK5 with a chip tune.
Both cars were judged on condition of paint, interior etc, which do you suppose got the more points?
My recommendation is to consider the entry fee as your ticket to convenient parking close to the show and don't worry about the trophies.
