    that's interesting. given the amount of mods going on at tdiclub.com with regards to reducing / eliminating intake sludge be it via VAG-COM, race pipes, egr block off plates etc, i would have thought they might have ''lumped'' the VAG 1.9tdi engine in there as well- the article says just the 1.8T.

    i wonder what the score is gonna be in like 7 years time, with all the new CR TDI engines with DPF's being clogged... the engines might be rippers but i dont know if the salesmen really tell you in the showroom that you'd be up for a $7k DPF every 1XX,000 km's...

      One of those 'only in America' problems. Haven't heard of it anywhere else.
