  • "Screwed" again

Strangest coincidence I've ever had between cars I've owned.

My previous car, MkV GTI 2006, picked up a screw in the left rear tyre in September 2006. My current car, MkVI GTI 2010, picked up a screw in the left rear tyre in September 2010.

Not only that, both screws were in a similar position on the tyre - between the first and second blocks of tread (from the outside).

i've been ''screwed'' 4 times in my street.

trust me, when you've also been ''screwed'' by the tyre place ($212 per corner, albeit for sticky BFG sports), it's extra painful.

well that's lucky... imagine what it's like when it's 4 nails/ self tappers in 3 different tyres

I picked up 3 nails in a couple of months. Lucky I know people who own a tyre shop and can go fix the tyres myself!

The risk of being screwed is often higher if there's building work in your street.
Damn builders are careless and leave their equipment all over the road.
