      Time to get the battery out so a slow build up as opposed to a split oil return or fuel leak or similar. Possibly an overloaded earth or a fuse box fault,probability of a headlight loom fault high? Got to be the worst feeling watching your pride get crispy though

        Battery was actually on passenger floor,

        Its all he managed to grab, plus wallet and keys.

        Think fuel leaked out of the twin carbs and hit exhaust wrap, it all went up from there

        Feel so sorry for him, mount of effort put into the car!!
