Stiggy, I disagree.

whilst I absolutely hate the prius, more of them on the road means more petrol left for me to burn!!

i read an article a few years back. saying how the prius (or any hybrid for that matter) creates 5x more pollution than a hummer in a lifetime, from production through to its death. this is because the nickle batteries have to be shipped all over the world as well as other car parts. so i dont see why hybrid are so great.
if i find the article again ill put it up.

yeah i remember that article. and it also is more dangerous to the environment when disposing of the batteries!

The batteries can leak and explode too!
They have stickers all over them. The one that sits behind the rear seat that is almost the width of the car also sends gases into the cabin
when things go wrong. Poor poor design in my book.
