How can you claim you need that much money to justify what was, at the most, a minor body contact sexual advance (apparently he touched her bra) and suggested that they go back to his place which she then claimed implyed he wanted to sleep with her.
He never forced her to do anything though.
She is giving it all to charity i believe.
However the lawyer's fees are going to take about 5Mill out of it.Last edited by team_v; 05-08-2010, 03:35 PM.

If it wasn't about money she would have been happy with his resignation. She knew she'd hit the jackpot if she played him along and I have no doubts that this was a setup from the start.website: www.my-gti.com

Also i believe she said she would use the money to start a charity for for women who've been sexually harassed. I wonder who's going to be paid handsomley run this charity??

She made it about money I think to bring attention to the case. If she gives her "winnings" to charity she will still get paid a lot from all the attention she has brought on herself.
I heard that surviving familes of people who died from asbestos poisoning were awarded 250k.....
This woman wants 37 mill..... I think she should lose based on her greed! I dont care if she gives it to charity or not, as I said she has fabricated this figure to draw attention.

He (according to her claims) made a comment to her about her tasting a desert and touched her bra strap and on another occasion put his hand around her and attempted to kiss her.

its called punitive damages. the idea, which is fully exploited in the US, is you are "punishing" the offender and a percentage of retail business profits is a great way of punishing them, so yes the institution is relevant.
I work for a huge oil and gas company, and my 3rd party liability insurance is huge, not because we have a greater risk, but because we have a lot of money, and therefore a far greater chance that if someone is injured, they will be seeking a hell of a lot more in damages from us2007 Audi RS4 with: APR ECU Upgrade; JHM Quick Shifter; Milltek Catback and Downpipes; KW V3 Coilovers; Argon Creative Carbon Fibre Splitters
