Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I supppose if its a feature....
I love that little light that comes on when you open the (any) door and times itself to go off after 5 seconds or so.
Central locking is pretty nice too.

Yeah - because it's not Passat specific - that's a VERY easy point to understand and I'm sorry you didn't. Interesting that drive shafts were a "feature" on your car. They were standard on mine. What was it like at the dealer? "now with these things called, DRIVESHAFTS... PHWOAR!!!"

Not exactly a feature per se, but the way the car all works together. If that's not allowed then the steering wheel

                        The colour.

Biscay Blue Pearl is an amazing colour and it's not available anymore so i have a limited edition per-se.

Has to be the first time an officer has explained something correctly... I still like the drive shaft feature on my car... Saves me from sticking my feet though the floor!!

Lol, things have certainly come a long way:

Also, wouldn't you classify a feature as something you didn't originally take for granted, like auto-start headlights more so much than airbags and ABS?

If you attack this one you have to be consistent and attack all those who said "motor" or "power windows" etc. A "feature" is any aspect of the vehicle. Does it have to be "non standard" to be a feature. Or those who said "Noise". Can't imagine that discussion with the dealer "now with this thing called noise. Can I have the vroom vroom or the brap brap please?

If you want to attack along this line then your thread should have been more accurately titled "Which Option do you like best?".
You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.
