any TDI newbie following that advice would enjoy looking forward to a ****ed engine sooner, rather than later.
but anyway, back on topic: redheads dont need anyone championing their cause- they're already legitimate:

i didnt see this:
op- ''i have a tdi, is 5k km oil changes okay?"
you- "well, it's okay on a petrol, but i dont know about TDI's"
i SAW this:
op- "i have a tdi, is 5k oil changes okay?"
gerhard- "boo to too many oil changes, dont waste oil, just change it at the normal interval"
you- "ANY engineer will tell you that the newer the oil, the better for the engine"
the only way that you WOULDNT have been speaking in the context of the OP's question about oil changes on TDI's, is if you had forgotten what the OP had asked in the first place.
i wont go any deeper, but i was just saying- you ARE very authoritative when you post, for sure, but you're not always right. just saying....

i didnt elect her, but i voted for labor.....
i guess it was always their call. we might have liked the ideas and promises back in ''kevin-oh-seven'', but labor was always able to call the shots if they deemed fit. which they did. and she kicked ass during question time today, from what little i heard on the transistor radio. and she's a redhead [win!].
she'll have entertainment value, she'll seldom get us smiling, and more often than not probably get us frustrated with any lack of financial freedom, causing us to blame her administration for this and that, but daily life wont change. daily life hasnt changed since i came back from living in america 6 years ago, and in that time we're now onto boss [wo]man no. 3.
i still wash my socks the same way, and spend more still at the grocery shop.Last edited by Buller_Scott; 24-06-2010, 06:01 PM.

I think no matter we have in government at the moment we are screwed on a national, state and local level. They all seem to be idiots with their own agendas and interfering nannying to do rather than having the best interests of their constituents and the country/state/shire etc at heart. It's all about picking the best of the worst at the moment and when it comes to the federal government I have no idea who to pick at the moment as both are as scary as each other.
Case in point; Who remembers Helen Coonan the most useless uninformed dangerous telecommunications minister possible, or so we thought? I was so excited when Labour came along with plans of the NBN and proper talk of finally splitting up Telstra but Stephen Conroy has turned out to be one of the worst Telecommunications/IT ministers in the world let alone the country and as usual everything they're touching is turning to crap. I don't think for a minute though that the current opposition could or would do any better though, I mean they sold off all of Telstra as one big company which was quite possibly the dumbest thing they could have done.
We're screwed no matter what, it's just a question of who is going to bend us over and whether they'll use coal dust or kitty litter to lube us up.

All the stuff you say reminds me of the people who, when Labor was elected, acted like the world would come to an end, no one would own a house or a car, and that future generations would all be doomed because one party was elected. You're just as bad as the spin you feed off.
