Thanks for that link, it is a huge eye opener and very sad to see the state of some unfortunate peoples homes.
The photography skills are amazing and clearly depict the story that is trying to be told.

Thats a great site, eye opening indeed. What we need to do see is have Maverick call the pigs, and save all these poor people from themselves. Oh and if one of them has a number plate protector on their rickshaw, lock their poor asses up.
Why is it one of the (if not the) most important, most responsible, high impact, life changing, environment impacting things humans can do requires nothing other than reproductive organs? No skills or experience required. No regulations or rules. Just breed! In a LOT of ways, the Matrix was right. Humans are a Cancer to Earth.

Thanks for that...to me I think it is very important for us Australians to travel the world and be able to see just how lucky we are, which will hopefully motivate you to sponsor a child in a 3rd world country at some stage in your life... (apart from a few Eastern-block countries in the early 90's, Vietnam in '94 really had an effect on me......)
I sometimes wish the Aust. Govt. could send every Redneck O/S for a few weeks to realise how lucky we really are!!!...I'll get off my high-horse now.............
Children(VW) who have left home, among others:1966 VW 1300 Deluxe Bug(Harbour Blue)1966 VW 1300 Steel Sunroof Bug(Ruby Red), 1971 VW 1600 S Bug(White) 1972 VW 25th Ann. Sent shivers through my spine and really opens your eyes on how lucky we are
Also being into photography, there are some great shots, contrast and colour

Mate I agree, I don't need the government to send me O/S, i will travel to those places just to experience it; i agree, each individual should experience this, and come back appreciating what we've got, not getting down because we don't have money to buy a MK6 .:R or can't yet afford that beachfront house, we have simple LUXURIES like fresh running water every day for a cost that we could barely notice. I do aspire to travel to as many places I can, i hope to bring back images and stories for myself, too. It is a little big reminder that when you see places like this on the news, it is in fact on the same earth we live on and is not a fictional place of our imaginations.

That's easy to say when you are educated and live in a developed nation with a fair social structure and society. When you live in abject poverty and have no prospects in life, sex is one of the only pleasures you have left. No one should be denied the right to procreate.
I agree that over population is one of the biggest problems facing the world. It's how we deal with the problem that's important, its all well and good saying they should stop breeding but its inevitable so we need to deal with it.
Timely to reflect about appropriate tax deductions pre 30 June. I think World Vision has a 10:1 multiplying food appeal where every $1 given delivers 10 times to value to the needy in 3rd world countries.

And why not donate, most donations can be claimed this coming July when tax back comes! I donate a fair bit (well, i guess its a fair bit, a couple hundred a year) to this, and about that to the RSPCA, too. It is something I could only highly reccomend taking part in.
The world is overpopulated and people want donations to keep people alive? *sigh* so backwards.
Oh man, this is so, so, soooo polically and morally incorrect I don't even want to begin arguing against that naive and self centered statement. I agree with you, the world is over populated, but is the answer to that is to just let people die?! Die cruel, painful deaths? Deaths due to disease, starvation and abuse? You could not wish this upon your enemys. If the world is so over populated, and you beleive that just letting people die is the answer, then hell, let's just make a day of it? Everyone grab a sharp kitchen utensil and lunge it into one of your family members throats! That 'ought to put a dent in the population, hey?!
Why not, instead having a barberic approach to this, and just suggesting that people should DIE, in 3rd world, uneducated countrys, where there lives have been nothing but struggle, we try to help? Try to help keep people alive, try to EDUCATE these people? Maybe one day, even if it's not for a century to come, these 3rd world countrys will find a proper government, will become better educated, and can have a chance to form communties that they can raise children and be amongst that doesn't involve painstaking, torcherous living conditions.
I cannot grasp how you could suggest this, I can't grasp how you can make such judgements upon people who have been brought up in nothing but poverty, it is all too easy for some of us, in a country where i'd assume more than 90% of people have received some form of education to make these claims, but to people who have no idea of the dangers and have never been told about the dangers? ****, that's almost like sending a tradesman to do a job, without any training on how to properly do the job.
