Which has been one of the biggest problems of the GT series since it first came out... UNREALISTIC PHYSICS. They need to match up the prettiness with REALISTIC PHYSICS before they should even be allowed to call it a "simulation".

So long as its entertaining who gives a stuff how realistic it is.
Gran Turismo is best enjoyed with beer, pizza and mates. Taking it too seriously just makes it less fun!

The problem with making the game use realistic physics is that it is too unforgiving.
Then you alienate all the casual gamers and only allow sales to the hardcore fans which means you won't break even after a 5 year development for the game + licensing fees etc.

How to you expect a $600 system and game to pump out realistic physics and graphics and be appealing to the mass market? Besides you can never get the real deal without actually feeling the Gs.
They have already told us that the damage in GT5 won’t be the same as in Forza. Only a few race cars will be able to have parts flying off them, most other cars have only been licensed to be dinged and scratched.
I hope they didn’t compromise when negotiating licenses for the cars, eg. Forza with Audi being the uber car of the game. A few car companies won’t give up the license for the cars unless they are faster than other cars in the game. Another thing i hope for is REAL TYRE SMOKE!!! Not thouse little puffs of granny fats. Something like what GTA4 had but MOAR!
That thing they were showing off with forza is useless, do you really want to sit there like a goose and ghost drive a car or would you rather have a force feedback wheel and pedals? If I wanted to look like a goose while playing video games i would have bought a Wii.

I’m just happy that my PS3 will finally have some use, like Stu, it’s the only reason i bought the damn thing. After getting my xbox modded, the ps3 just collects dust.

It the second. The release date was 2nd of November, before that there was no official date mentioned, just rumours on the net.

The game was ready for 2nd of november, however they had to update the game to accomodate for OS 3.5 on the PS3, and missed their production window by a few days.

Games have already been shipped to france etc.

But i agree, long time to wait for what is a stepping stone for GT6 (which has already started being developed)
