Nitro Champs- Sydney Dragway 1st of May

Hey guys. Next weekend is the Sydney Dragway Nitro Championships!

Apart from the usual group one cars (Top Fuel etc), there will be a number of cackle cars and Front Engine Fuel Dragsters in attendance.

Ash Marshall's Scorcher





Graeme Cowin's "Psycho III"




Norm Longfield's "WW2" Nostalgia Top Fuel car. (Making passes i think)




Dave Armstrong's "Sandman AA/FD" (Cackle Only)




Steve Turner's new N/TF car (sorry, no pics) Might be making passes, not sure..


And our Maher-Carlton-Kerr "Banshee AA/FD"






Come for a look and a chat.. We'll all be there on Saturday all day. we will be firing off in the pits once or twice (individually) and as far as we know, we are all doing a Cacklefest at the end of Group One qualifying out on the Burnout Pad.. Which should be somewhat spectacular.

Righto! What a weekend!!

We took the Banshee to Sydney Dragway for the first official ANDRA recognised Cacklefest.

It was a real treat to line our car up next to Ash Marshall's famous "Scorcher" AA/FD- The first car in Australia to run 200mph.. Not to mention the (picture perfect!) recreation of Graeme Cowin's "Psycho III" AA/FA.



The weekend went off flawlessly and we did a 4 car Cacklefest after the first round of Top Fuel on Saturday night. We ran the fuel tank dry, as did Scorcher. And the other guys ran for as long too. The crowd loved it. Lots of applause and even the officials clapped us all and commented.

I have no pics of that (i was crammed in the car, fire suit and the works).. But we did get some video. Needs editing.
