  • Defect Notice #001

got it thursday night going to the missus house, wasnt really surprised, nor upset, nor shocked, took it on the chin and told them thank you, happy Easter
he then explained after the defect how hes a car enthusiast and said if i really want it "that" low, then i should get the hydraulic air bag things that go up and down.......... i said thats an awesome idea but unfortunetly after the new modification i just purchased i cant afford hydraulic airbag things

got me for under 100mm (not air ride)
    tyres need to fit properly
engine bay wires fastened (which they were but not connected to the body skin)

    HAPPY EASTER

Which car were you in? Or was this some late april fools because you then lifted the car with the press of a button?

does that mean it has to go get inspected? and if so...will it pass with the airbag setup?

Why didn't you just raise it to 4wd spec? Or is it not as simple as that.

              You're "1 canary" low now!

Why does it sag? Leaking air?

He didn't give you a chance to simply lift it up (on air)?
At least that should be an easy defect to clear.

Just thought I'd chime in here. If you just raised it in front of him, you'd essentially be shooting yourself in the foot as he'd then say, oh airbags, then hit you with a full inspection and you'd require an engineer the setup with auto levelling mechanism, and if he had fbss setup, then you'd have to get rid of that too.

yeah, these bags run lower pressures than most brands available so over big dips or bumps it has more travel and pushes air out over time, so then they start to sag, and therefore be low......

and i didnt tell him about the air ride untill after they gave me the defect, otherwise they would have towed the car away leaving me with a serious easter weekend bill, plus defect, plus compulsory engineers cert

I once got defected for seats and ride height. They looked at the nitrous system and didn't say anything. They missed sooooo much on the car...but I didn't say anything

Then when I got back to my office I noticed they wrote my plate incorrectly on the defect notice, so I never took it in

Anyways, dom are you going to take it in with the bags? Do you need auto levelling in Melbourne?

What did you expect if it's that low (ie <100mm).
