  • Brisbane Safety Certificate - who to use

    Hey all.

I am going to put my current ride up for sale as the Tiguan is due in June and i have other methods of transportation at my disposal.
As such I am looking for places that do safety certificates so i can legally sell my car.

A quick google search didn't show up much at all.
Currently looking at KatsAuto at Coorparoo as they were the only result i could find on google.

Is there any places in brisbane that people have used before and are happy with?
Any suggestions or alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

Car is a 1990 Toyota Corolla badged as a Holden Nova if that makes any difference.

Just about every garage with mechanic can do them.
There is a regulated fee of around $55 for the test. The fee gets you the inspection and allows you to fix problems and bring it back for a 2nd check.
Certificates are valid for 2 months or 2000km.

    MK4 GTI - Sold
    MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
    MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.

      Ahh okay.
I thought garages do them but it doesn't say that anywhere that I could find.

Anyone had any good experiences/suggested garages near the Carindale/Cannon Hill area?

      Cheers.

        Quick update:
Booked in at Kats Automotive (Coorparoo) on Tuesday.
        Costs $71.40.

Will update again with my experience.
