Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

The cost makes me LAUGH!!! God knows how most people afford it...

    I just bought the following:

    1 x Deutsche Vermögensberatung cap
    1 x Mercedes Petronas t-shirt
1 x Mercedes Petronas team polo shirt
1 x Mercedes Petronas team button up shirt

    Total was $389.80

And Ferrari is more expensive AGAIN!

I don't mind paying it but that doesn't mean it's completely rediculous pricing. It would be interesting to know what percentage of a top team's budget comes from the merchandies.

It has always been like that, been watching f1 since like 93-94, and when i was a kid i always begged my dad to get me caps and stuff, and now i realised why he never wanted to, because i would want one each year and they are bloody expensive!

Back than a cap was $70 already, i haven't bought one for quite some time but yes they are still very expensive.

When i head down to melbourne this weekend, i plan to pick up a red bull shirt, can't wait until my pockets are empty.

On F1 weekend i stay at a place in Melb that's opposite a shop in the CBD that sells all of last years merch as well as the new stuff. Bought a few things there last year at really reasonable prices. Hoping to pick up some 09 merch there on Friday!

Yeah that's what I normally do but since Mercedes haven't had a GP team in 55 years there won't be any of last years stock until next year.

Mercedes GP "shizz" didn't exist a few months ago... Or I would have too.
